Qualifications:
The Regional Public Relations & Membership Development Coordinator must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience with
the APCA, as well as, work experiences, education, personal skills and characteristics in the planning, recruiting, program development,
volunteerism, enthusiasm, communication skills, and organizing of relevant campus activities with college, schools, and universities. They must
provide a letter of financial and time-off support from the college they currently represent.
General Responsibilities:
the Regional Public Relations & Membership Development Coordinator of the RAC serves as the secretary at all
Regional Advisory Committee meetings. They will be responsible for the recording of all RAC meeting notes, minutes, and public relations. They
will also be responsible for the developing of programs that will insure the continuation of positive growth, retention, expansion, and activation of APCA membership with the states within their regions.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Attend all the Regional Advisory Committee meetings.
- They must be able to attend (with financial support & time-off from their represented college) the Regional Conference & National
Conferences.
- Submit a semi-annual report, (due February 1st & October 1st) the RAC-6 (Regional Advisory Committee – form 6 to be filled out online at
www.apca.com))
- Take minutes at all Regional Advisory Committee meetings.
- Develop and report the minutes from the prior RAC meeting.
- Shall provide each RAC member with a written copy of the prior meeting minutes.
- Make a record to show the names of those RAC members present or absence from all RAC meetings.
- Maintains an awareness of the needs and interests of the membership and represent their views during the RAC.
- Supports the APCA's recruitment, expansion, and retention of membership by helping to develop positive growth programs for the states
within their regions.
- Publishes a semi annual newsletter for the region to be placed online at www.apca.com.
- Recruits articles and up-dates for publication in the regional newsletter, the APCA Student Activities Journal and/or the APCA web site.
- They will promote, recruit, and strive to expand the growth of the APCA within the states of their regions.
- Undertakes any additional public relation program or activities as assigned by the Regional Coordinator
